Getting chickens in Stardew Valley takes a little bit of time. You first will need a coop from Robin the carpenter. She will ask you to bring her 300 wood, 100 stone, and 4,000 gold. She is open from 9am to 5pm and it takes her 3 days to construct your coop. The coop has space for 4 chickens.
Now you will need to visit Marnie’s Ranch and buy the chickens. Each chicken costs 800g and you will need to buy hay for 50g each.
